Alison Holmes

Curator

Alison Holmes is the Museum Curator. She has worked in the museum industry for more than 15 years, in all areas, including preventative conservation management, fundraising and all types of interpretation and engagement.

Alison started her career in local authority museums; her roles included front of house and collections care.

She moved to the National Trust, where for almost 12 years she worked in collections management, volunteer leadership, events and engagement.

Alison moved to Cornwall to be a curator, covering all areas of work in independent museums.

She is passionate about sharing social history with a wider audience, shining the spotlight on ‘overlooked’ aspects of heritage.

Alison is looking forward to helping the Museum of Policing in Devon and Cornwall showcase its collection and archive, encouraging visitors to explore our new premises and the history we hold.
